Dog & Cat Vaccinations

Dog & Cat Vaccinations

Vaccinations are the simplest, most effective way to protect your pet from serious, often fatal diseases. We tailor a vaccination plan to your pet's age, lifestyle and risk.

Your pet's annual vaccination is also their annual health check - a full nose-to-tail examination that often picks up problems early, when they're easier and cheaper to treat. It's one of the best-value visits you'll make all year.

Not every pet needs every vaccine every year. We follow current best-practice guidelines and talk you through exactly what your dog or cat needs based on how and where they live.

What we vaccinate against

  • Dogs: parvovirus, distemper, hepatitis and (where needed) kennel cough and leptospirosis
  • Cats: feline enteritis, cat flu and (for outdoor cats) feline leukaemia
  • Puppy and kitten starter courses
  • Annual health check and booster in one visit

Dog & Cat Vaccinations - your questions

When should my puppy or kitten start their vaccinations?
Puppies usually start at 6-8 weeks with boosters every few weeks until around 16 weeks. Kittens follow a similar course. Book early so we can map out the timing for you.
Does my indoor cat still need vaccinating?
Most indoor cats still need core vaccines - diseases can come inside on clothing and shoes, and plans change (boarding, a move, a new cat). We'll advise what's right for your cat.
Can vaccinations be part of a wellness plan?
Yes. Our Pet Members Club includes annual health checks and vaccinations, spreading the cost over the year from $20/fortnight.
