Kittens need a starter course of vaccinations to protect them against common, serious cat diseases. Here's how the timing usually works.
A typical kitten schedule
- 6-8 weeks: first vaccination
- 10-12 weeks: second vaccination
- Sometimes a third around 14-16 weeks, depending on the vaccine and risk
- Then a booster at around 12 months and regular boosters after
What kittens are vaccinated against
Core vaccines cover feline enteritis (panleukopenia) and cat flu. For kittens that will go outdoors, we usually recommend feline leukaemia (FeLV) as well. We'll tailor the plan to how your kitten will live.
