Advocate is a combined flea and worm spot on treatment for cats.
Each treatment kills Fleas, Hookworms, Roundworms, Heartworm and Otodectes ear mites. One application treats any existing parasite infection, protects against new infection as the treatment will last for four weeks and prevents new infections from establishing. Advocate for Cats is a convenient way to protect your cat as it is a spot-on product, meaning no tablets for your cat and no combination of treatments are required. Each application spreads rapidly over your pet, killing 98-100% of adult fleas within 12 hours of an application and flea larvae in the cat’s environment. After application of Advocate, Moxidectin enters your cat’s bloodstream and with monthly use will prevent heartworm and ear mite infection. Advocate for Cats is highly effective as a single dose.
One treatment of Advocate Cat prevents future flea infestation for 4 weeks. Existing pupae in the environment may emerge for 6 weeks or longer after treatment is initiated, depending upon climatic conditions. Therefore, it may be necessary to combine Advocate treatment with environmental treatments aimed at breaking the flea life cycle in the surroundings. This can result in a more rapid reduction in the household flea population.
Directions for Use: remove one pipette from the package, hold the pipette in an upright position and twist and pull off the cap. Reverse the cap and use it to twist and remove the seal from the pipette. Part the fur on the cats neck at the base of the skull until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and squeeze the pipette firmly several times to empty its contents directly onto the skin. Application at the base of the skull will minimize the opportunity for the animal to lick the product.
Contra-indications and warnings; do not use in kittens under 9 weeks of age or weighing less than 1 kg, do not use in the case of hypersensitivity to the active substances or in sick and debilitated animals.
Advocate Cat is a combination of Imidacloprid combined with Moxidectin which provides a superb treatment of both internal and external parasites in cats.
